What is Short Term Accommodation (STA)?

Short term accommodation (STA) refers to accommodation provided to NDIS participants for short periods in a residential house, unit, apartment or hotel.

Why would I need STA?

  • Change away from daily life leading to refreshing new experiences
  • Family or Carers may not be able to support participant due to being on leave or un-well
  • The participant is waiting on home modifications
  • Recovering from illness
  • Unexpected event or change in circumstances.

What is Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)?

MTA is known as transitional accommodation, this helps you feel supported and cared for while;

  • Preparing and waiting to move into your new long term accommodation. 
  • Waiting on home modifications

Medium term accommodation funded for up to 90 days.
